How we calculated this
One rule format at a time where pool size matters.
Sum and spread records use only the current format for each game: Powerball 5/69 from October 7, 2015, and Mega Millions 5/70 from April 8, 2025. Sequence records can span represented eras because they count a structure—consecutive numbers or overlap—not a raw value whose opportunity changes with the pool. Every candidate row must contain five distinct eligible main numbers and one eligible bonus number.
Limitations
These are stored-record claims.
The database has historical schedule gaps, especially in early represented periods. Provisional, corrected, and confirmed records are eligible; void and malformed rows are excluded. The current database contains confirmed records only. Jackpot records are not published because jackpot coverage is sparse.
